How many incredible companies started in a garage somewhere? Well, that’s exactly where LaScuola Motorworks started!
After working for R & H Motors for ten years, Jim LaScuola started Jim”s Auto Center in his home garage. He moved into his own building back in 1988 in Randallstown, across from Chapman Gardens, and his dream of owning his own auto repair shop, LaScuola Motorworks, became a reality. Later in 1990, he moved the shop and later purchased that shop up Liberty Road towards Eldersburg near the reservoir bridges, where the shop continues to serve the communities of both Carroll County and Baltimore County as it has for decades.
More than 30 years later, his shop is still a family-owned and operated auto shop now run by Jim’s son Lonnie who began as a helper back in 1991 then in 2011, Jim retired and passed the torch on to Lonnie. Jim’s wife Deb helped manage the business and has been a constant fixture around the office all these years and continues to be. Jim’s son John also works in the business too, to round out much of the family! We have an established tradition of taking care of all our customers with a passion for cars and excellence in all that we do.

With each visit to our shop, we perform a courtesy multi-point inspection free of charge on every service and provide written estimates on areas of concern found during the inspection.
